Dear Fellow Pirate’s Cove Owners,
As previous Board Members can attest, please keep in mind none of us are professional board members. These are volunteer, unpaid positions filled by everyday folks who have other responsibilities outside of Pirate’s Cove. We are all prone to mistakes and we ask that you work with us in a team effort toward the continued improvement of our community. We are a family of sixty-five units, so there are very few times we will agree on everything, which is one of the things that makes us most human. Whether you have been an owner for thirty-five days or thirty-five years, I would hope we all have the same best intentions for Pirate’s Cove. Once each of us signed on the dotted line to own a piece of paradise, we took on an unsigned duty and obligation to each other to be good stewards of what we all love, and our neighborhood gets stronger each day we live up to that obligation. Help us maintain our forward progress and continue the journey towards continued financial strength, improving the safety and beauty of our grounds, and enhancing our community bond.
In closing, we would like to thank everyone who has ever held a board position for giving of your time and talents to Pirate’s Cove and extend a huge “Thank You” to Dan Woods for all of your hard work, on a daily basis, to oversee the renovation projects, work with multiple contractors and county officials and safeguard our monetary investment in the process. We will do our best to be the same type of good stewards of what we all hold dear on the banks of Lake Powell.
Have a safe and prosperous Spring and we hope to see you around this Summer!! Feel free to reach out to us at any time.
Respectfully,
Lee Harris
Hello Pirates Cove community!
We have a few workdays set for the weekend of our annual home owner’s meeting, January 20, 2024. We would love for everyone to participate and help beautify our Cove. There will be 3 set days to help out in the neighborhood so that we can accomplish more with an opportunity for everyone to fit a few hours into their schedules. Of course, if you are here before or after and want to help in a common area, please let Lee Harris know and the HOA will make sure you have any supplies you need! Help will not be turned down at any time!
We plan to try to accomplish the following (weather permitting):
1 – Re-stain dock (This is the priority.)
2 – Prepare mailboxes and repaint
3 – Paint back of 300 Cain
4 – Trash pickup on common grounds
5 – Trim trees by road and other areas as necessary
6 – Extend block wall by dock
If you have tools you are willing to share or use, please let us know ahead of time what you have so we can plan accordingly.
Please prepare your yard tools and bring them. The HOA will provide the paint and parts.
We will meet in front of the mailboxes at 9 AM Friday and Sunday mornings. On Saturday, meet at the mailboxes at 1:30pm since the HOA meeting is at 9:30am. We will finish the weekend with a pizza party and s’mores at a fire pit Sunday evening at 5pm in the field by the south pool. The HOA will provide the pizza and s’mores. Please bring drinks and chairs.
We are excited to continue the process of bettering our community and building relationships! See you in just a few weeks!
Thanks,
Pirates Cove HOA
